The GCO congratulates Warren and is happy to share with you his success story:

Warren Santiago Vaz graduated on 16th May 2009 from the Missouri University of Science & Technology, USA. He was awarded a gold medal for securing the highest Grade Point Average. His name has been inscribed on a plaque on the Wall at the University for obtaining the first rank and for a consistent score 4.0 GPA over the four years.  Warren's major was Nuclear Engineering (Fission, Fusion & Reactor Technology) and minor was Mathematics.

Warren Santiago Vaz graduated on 16th May 2009 from the Missouri University of Science & Technology, USA. He was awarded a gold medal for securing the highest Grade Point Average. His name has been inscribed on a plaque on the Wall at the University for obtaining the first rank and for a consistent score 4.0 GPA over the four years.  Warren's major was Nuclear Engineering (Fission, Fusion & Reactor Technology) and minor was Mathematics.
 
Warren schooled from Class I through XII at the Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir, where he was the Deputy Head Boy, then the Head Boy and the Student Council President. He was honored with the "All Rounder's Award" by the School. He completed the 8th Grade Music (Piano) of the ABRSM under Mr. Philip Stallwood.

The Missouri University of Science & Technology, USA from which Warren has just graduated, was established in 1870. It has doctoral level programs in 18 engineering fields and 12 support fields (like Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.). While pursuing academics, Warren also did research in Nuclear Engineering for two years under the professors of the Nuclear Engineering Department of the University. He was also the Nuclear Reactor Liaison for the American Nuclear Society, member of  Tau Beta Pi Honors Society (a general engineering society recognized in the USA), Students Council Representative and Pianist for the Catholic Newman Center, and a Choir member (pianist) for four years for the Sunday 7.00 pm Mass at the St. Patrick's Church, Rolla, Missouri. 

Warren was in Muscat for over 12 years, where he was an active parishioner and lector at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ruwi. He is the son of Wilfred and Diana Vaz, who hail from Macazana in Salcette and have now relocated to Kuwait.
