Newsletter Naming Contest

In December 2008 the GCO Managing Committee announced a contest to select the best name for the proposed GCO Newsletter. We are happy to inform you that we received a splendid response. 40 entries!!! The contest judges, inclusive of Mrs. Angela Almeida, Mrs. Mildred Fernandes, Mr. Celso Fernandes and Mr. Anthony Lourence, were requested to select the most apt, unique, catchy, Goan sounding name. Accordingly, each of the Judges screened the entries and prepared a shortlist. The only name that was common across all the 4 shortlists was NOMAN GOA or Hail Goa! And so the winner is: The one and only Mr. PAUL FERNANDES. Noman Goa will be displayed on the GCO website shortly and we will have a few printed copies available for distribution.
