I am happy that the Goans have come forward to form the Goan Community of Oman as one of the organizations under the Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ruwi.

Goans have always taken a keen interest in the activities of the Church. They can be depended upon to plan the programmes, to do all the necessary background work and arrangements, to take responsibility for specific tasks, and to attend Church functions in large numbers. The Catholic Church is proud of the contribution made by the Goan Community and is happy to see them come together under the banner of the Goan Community of Oman.

I am also happy to note that the GCO has taken the initiative to gather the particulars of Goans in Oman and compile a  database of Goans in Oman. This a good start as it will help the Goan Community to know their resources and identify their needs so that they can serve the Church better and also be of help to each other during times of need.
